Access Ramp

When one enters the sanctuary of the church, the altar and the cross should be the first thing that a person notices.  The sacrifice of Jesus Christ is both the reason and focus of our worship.  At Saint Francis, to enter the sanctuary and see this, one must navigate fourteen steps.

With an access ramp, our sanctuary would be more readily accessible for all to enter through the doors that lead to the altar and the cross.  This will allow all people, of all abilities, to enter the space reverentially and with due respect.

The access ramp will parallel the existing southern wall of our sanctuary so that our building will retain its profile.  We believe that this project will shape how everyone will enter our worship services.
